《Flipped 怦然心動》

All throughout the book I was entertained, the author tells the story through the two different point of views of the two main characters —-Julianna and Bryce. You can gradually find out how their relationship grows as you go through the same event from both POVs. How they see each other, and how they react to awkwardly cute situations are absolutely adorable.

Aside from the first love of Julianna and Bryce, I also like other characters in this book, especially Bryce’s grandpa, a wise old man. He’s words are worth pondering.

“Somehow the silence seemed to connect us in a way like words never could.” —Julianna Baker. The conversation between Julie and her father are also very relatable for me.

It’s a story that will warm your heart and draw a smile on your face from time to time.

I watched the movie “flipped” first. The movie really helped me visualize the scenes from the book, since it’s a very faithful adaptation.

For non-native speakers of English, it’s a good way to practice your English reading skills. Here are some tips for using the book and movie as English learning materials, you may:

1. Watch the movie with the subtitles first to get the whole picture of the story.

2. Read through the novel and enjoy the plots.

這本書讀起來非常有趣，作者透過男女主角Julianna和Bryce兩個視角來講述故事，讀的過程中，觀察男女主角對於同一事件的不同觀點，可以慢慢看出他們兩個關係可愛又微妙的變化。

除了男女主角之外的其他角色也很吸引人，我很喜歡男主角Bryce的爺爺，他的話都很有智慧且發人深省。女主角Julianna和她爸爸父女間的互動也讓我覺得感同身受。

我是先看過電影「怦然心動」，再來看小說的，先看過電影再看小說的話，很有助於視覺化書中的情景，因為電影非常忠於原著。
